The building where Residenza Ferruccio is was built in 1888. Its structure and architecture are those typical of that century, with high walls and front door, a courtyard with fountain (where in the past horses used to stay and rest) and galleries on each floor to let the natural light going inside the apartments.
Residenza Ferruccio loft has been totally refurbished in 2011, together with other two lofts close to ours. The architect tried to take advantage of the high ceilings, in order to give more harmony to the apartment. Soft colors of walls, balconies and pavements, together with the special light project of the apartment, express a perfect balance of both modern and ancient times.
Residenza Ferruccio represents in a unique way the right mix between past and present, historical and contemporary features.
The loft can host up to 4 persons. Its structure is perfect for a family or for a group of friends.
The private bathroom with shower and the fully equipped kitchen (microwave and dishwasher available) give guests the possibility to relax and cook as at home. Free Wi-Fi and air conditioning are available in the loft.
Other than the loft, Residenza Ferruccio has also a double room, perfect for a couple willing to experience a romantic stay in Rome. The double room is equipped with private bathroom with shower, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. An electric kettle is available for all guests wanting to relax with a tea and infusions.
All our guests will have the chance to enjoy a real Italian Breakfast at Panella – L’Arte del Pane.
Bar Panella is only two minutes walking from Residenza Ferruccio. You can taste 1 cappuccino or coffee and 1 cornetto, in order to feel the atmosphere of a real Italian bar.
Panella is one of the best and most popular cafeterias in Rome: it is on via Merulana, close to the famous Tempio di Mecenate, an important historical site of Rione Esquilino and the Brancaccio Theater.
Panella is famous for all its italian specialties, such as all kind of breads and pizzas, its dessert and sweets, as well as chocolates and ice-creams.
Moreover, Panella offers a special “aperitivo”, which can be tasted any time during the day: before lunch or after a theater show at the Brancaccio theater.

Residenza Ferruccio is in the heart of historical Rome, in the Esquilino Rione, one of the most ancient district of Rome.
Ethnic par excellence, the Esquilino spreads around Termini Station and Piazza Vittorio. Built during the reign of King Umberto I at the end of the 19th century, after the Italian unification, this district has managed to preserve its elegant and slightly austere architecture, the only one of its kind in Rome today.
Spoilt for choice, art lovers have only to decide which way to turn, whether to visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Church San Pietro in Vincoli, the National Roman Museum or also, on the Oppio Hill, the Domus Aurea.
On descending Via Cavour, the Monti district is reached with ease. Once working class, decaying neighborhood, today it is to be discovered with its narrow mediaeval alleys and concealed trattorias, picturesque shops and fashionable bars. Unquestionably cosmopolitan, the zone with its definitely “in-places” also offers a friendly village atmosphere.
From Esquilino our guests are directly connected with the other parts of the city, thanks to the proximity of both Metro stations: Metro A – Red Line “Vittorio Emanuele Station” (2 min. walking) and Metro B – Blue line – “Cavour station” (10 min. walking).
When my husband Marco and I have decided to let our house become a B&B, we were moving to Switzerland. We were very sad when we left Rome, especially since we were leaving the home where we spent a lot of beautiful and special moments as a newlywed couple and, after some time, as a family.
So we thought we would like to give others the chance to enjoy a beautiful place like ours in a magnificent city like Rome.
At that moment “Residenza Ferruccio” was born. With a friend architect we decided to make some renovations to the loft, by reorganizing the spaces for our future guests.
Other friends were involved to give us inspiration for furniture, light, photos and bathroom setting up. After six months of work Residenza Ferruccio was ready to start.
Our project has found its destination. We are happy to share with all friends and guests our home in Rome: make you feel at home in Rome is our main goal.
We wish you a pleasant stay at Residenza Ferruccio.
